Black and tri-colour are separate cartridges

HP 305 and 305XL belong to the same cartridge family. Black fits the black position; tri-colour contains the colour inks in a separate cartridge. Choose a pack listing both if you need both replacements, or select the individual cartridge you need. Compare the stated capacity of standard and XL products.

Check HP+ first: if HP+ has been activated, HP requires Original HP ink for the life of the printer. A matching cartridge number alone does not make a compatible cartridge suitable for an HP+ configuration. Original and compatible options are labelled on their individual listings.
